D2.3 aims to: (i) to analyse the economic aspects of the adoption of the eligible Alternative Bearers (ABs) in a railway context, and (ii) to compare the eligible ABs with the Traditional Bearers (TBs). The eligible ABs are: Free Space Optics (FSO), Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite and High-Altitude Platform Station (HAPS). D2.3 completes the overall assessment on ABs real applicability in a rail context, by providing the analysis of economic impact and the business case of the eligible ABs (FSO, LEO and HAPS) and by identifying the impact of ABs on the existing rail infrastructure. It also provides an integration analysis of Traditional Bearers i.e., 4G, 5G, and Sat-GEO.
